Simtec Silicone Parts LLC Simtec Silicone Parts LLC added an ISO Class 8 clean room at its Florida plant.

Miramar, Fla. — Simtec Silicone Parts LLC, a liquid silicone rubber and LSR injection molder, added an ISO Class 8 clean room to its production.

The addition comes in response to demand from its life science customers such as medical device original equipment manufacturers, Managing Director Frank Dilly said in a news release. Investment details were not disclosed.

The new clean room features a smart layout with material staging and tool change occurring outside the clean room, Simtec said. Parts from fully automated one-shot and two-shot lines are robotically removed and transported within a controlled enclosure and delivered into the clean room for inspection, post-curing and bagging.

The design and infrastructure in place allows for quick expansion and growth, Simtec said.
